
The regular enrollment to the Preparatory Department of the Educational and Research Institute No. 5 is underway, which will begin on January 10, 2026. For four months, students are preparing for admission to higher education institutions in Ukraine, primarily to Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.

Industrial practice is a mandatory component of the educational and professional training programme for students pursuing a second (master's) level of higher education in all forms of study. The knowledge and skills acquired during the internship were defended by second-year students of the the ERI No. 5 major in ‘Cybersecurity and Information Protection’.

Representatives of the student council of the Educational and Research Institute No. 5 took part in a dialogue entitled ‘Involving young people in legislative processes and shaping public policy.’ The meeting was attended by Vita Kovalska, Deputy Director of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, and representatives of the Youth Council under the Chairman of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Anna Ros, a first-year student majoring in Law Enforcement of the Educational and Research Institute No. 5, under the guidance of her academic supervisor, Associate Professor of the Department of Law Enforcement Daria Hlushkova, took part in the VI International Forum ‘Good Governance and Building Integrity in the Security and Defence Sector’.

A regular session of the scientific circle of the Department of Law Enforcement ‘Problems of Modern Policing,’ was held, dedicated to the topic ‘Disinformation and fake news on TikTok and Telegram: challenges for law enforcement agencies in countering new threats to information security.’

Representatives of the student council of the Educational and Research Institute No. 5 joined the literary gathering ‘The Executed Renaissance’, which took place at the Youth Centre in Kamianets-Podilskyi.

A regular session of the club ‘Current Issues in the Theory and History of State and Law’ was held, dedicated to the issues of civil society in the context of the russian-Ukrainian war and the volunteer movement. The event took place in person in Kamianets-Podilskyi and remotely using an online platform.

Representatives of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the Educational and Research Institute No. 5 – Head Mykola Pakhnin, Professor Viktoriia Davydenko and Associate Professors Yuliia Tatarkina and Nataliia Prokopenko took the course "Disinformation: Types, Tools and Methods of Protection".

A reporting meeting of the cadet-student Parliament of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was held at KhNUIA. During the meeting, the results of activities for the semester were summed up, implemented projects and initiatives were discussed, and plans for the future were outlined.

At the initiative of the Department of Education and Science of Kharkiv Regional State (Military) Administration, the regional stage of the XVI Taras Shevchenko International Language and Literature Competition for Pupils and Students was held.
