Today is your day - the day of millions, of all who dedicate their lives to the life of Ukraine.

“The enemy brings darkness with him. But we always respond to him with light and fire. The light of our faith in Ukraine. The fire of our indomitability and love for the Motherland,” – Ihor Klymenko noted.

Higher education students and scientific and pedagogical workers of the Educational and Research Institute No. 5 took part in an online meeting on the occasion of the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. On the day of honoring the heroes who defend against the enemy, those present recalled the exploits of servicemen, military doctors, and volunteers.

On the occasion of the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, in order to honor the heroism and courage of our soldiers, the curator, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law Oksana MELNYCHUK held an educational hour for cadets of the ERI No. 4. A soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (call sign "Krot") was invited to the event.

On the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, representatives of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs visited military personnel undergoing treatment and rehabilitation in one of the medical institutions in Vinnytsia.

On this topic, employees of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work held information and educational hours for higher education students of the Educational and Research Institutes No. 1-5, Sumy branch and Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs on the occasion of the Day of Defenders of Ukraine.

On October 1, Ukrainians celebrate the feast of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos. The idea of the intercession of the Mother of God – the protector from enemies – has deep roots since the times of Rus and is associated with the campaigns of the Rus in the 9th century. Prince Yaroslav the Wise built a church in Kyiv at the Golden Gates as an expression of gratitude to God and the Most Holy Theotokos.

Curator, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil, Labor and Economic Law of the ERI No. 1 Svitlana YASECHKO held an educational hour dedicated to the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. During the meeting, the cadets learned about the history of the introduction of the holiday in 2014.

The Department of Social and Economic Disciplines held curatorship hours, during which the cadets, together with the curators, spoke about the historical and contemporary significance of this day, honored the memory of the deceased with a minute of silence, and expressed gratitude to those who are currently defending the country.

Associate Professor of the Department of Operational-Investigative Activities and Crime Solution of the ERI No. 2 Pavlo MITRUKHOV, together with the Heads of the Criminal Analysis Department of the Main Police Department in Khmelnytskyi region, conducted a class for 3rd year cadets of the ERI No. 1 on the topic "Main directions of using criminal analysis in law enforcement activities."
