
The next meeting of the circle of the Department of Humanities of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA was held in the format of a round table on the topic "Sexual and Gender-Based Violence as a War Crime: Counteraction and Provision of Comprehensive Assistance to Victims."

Dmytro SLYNKO, Professor of the Department of Constitutional and International Law and Human Rights of KhNUIA, delivered a report dedicated to highlighting the procedural aspects of Magdeburg law in the lands of Ukraine.

Cadets of the 1st-3rd courses of the ERI No. 2, who study in the educational and professional programs 081 "Law" (pre-trial investigation), 071 "Accounting and Taxation" (accounting analytics) and 262 "Law Enforcement Activities" (criminal police), have begun passing the Rector's quality control of training.

The event was chaired by the Rector of the university, Valerii SOKURENKO, with the participation of Rectors of previous years, members of the Academic Council, Oleksandr BANDURKA and Serhii HUSAROV, and Deputy Head of the Main Police Department in Vinnytsia Region, Volodymyr OLEKSIUK.

The next meeting of the scientific circle of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of KhNUIA was dedicated to the topic of European integration. The event was held simultaneously in two locations - in Vinnytsia and Kamianets-Podilskyi. The opening speech was addressed to the circle members by Vice-Rector Oleksandr MUZYCHUK.

At the next online meeting of the scientific circle, a 4th-year student, Valeriia VELIHURA, gave a report. She devoted her speech to the practical problems of accepting inheritance. The participants were particularly interested in the review of judicial practice regarding disputes about accepting inheritance.

As part of scientific work, another meeting of the scientific circle was held on the topic "Sociological Problems of Modern Ukraine". The event, which was held in a mixed format, was conducted by associate professors of the department Nataliia BOBRO, Oleksandra HOLOVKO, and Oksana MELNYICHUK.

Professor of the Department of Humanities and Ukrainian Studies, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Oleksandr TIAHLO delivered a report "Critical Thinking for Civic Education" at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Current Problems of Theory and Methods of Teaching History, Geography and Civics."

On April 23, 2025 at 3:00 PM, the International Round Table “The International Criminal Court and Ukraine: The Path to Justice” will be held at KhNUIA. Academic and research and teaching staff of higher education institutions, research institutions, law enforcement officers, postgraduate students, as well as higher education students are invited to participate.

The event was opened by the Professor of the Department, Doctor of Law, Professor Viacheslav YEMELIANOV, who spoke about the basics of criminalization of socially dangerous acts and presented examples of relevant research works.
