Applicants for the first (bachelor's) level of higher education of the 3rd year of the Educational and Research Institutes №№1-4 of KhNUIA study in specialties that are important for ensuring public order and combating crime. At the internship sites, they are given the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained at the university in practice.

Larysa Ivanova, a leading specialist of the practical training department of the educational process organization department of KhNUIA, met with the 4th year cadets of the Educational and Research Institutes №№1-3, majoring in Law and Psychology, who are undergoing an internship at the Police Department №2 of Kharkiv District Department №3 of the Main Department of the National Police in Kharkiv region.

During the summer vacation, first-year students of the Educational and Research Institutes No. 2 and No. 3 Anton Mykytas and Yaroslav Holinher talked with 11th grade students of the secondary school "Muzykivskyi Support Lyceum" of Muzykivska village council of Kherson district. The future police officers familiarized the students with the conditions for entering the university, specialties and areas of study.

Representatives of research laboratories and departments of the Educational and Research Institutes of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in a meeting of the working group on forecasting the development of the security environment in Ukraine. The event was organized by the Department of Situational Analysis and Forecasting of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The issues of educational, scientific work and life of the higher education institution were discussed at a meeting of the Academic Council chaired by Rector Valerii Sokurenko. He awarded the university staff and congratulated everyone on the upcoming New Year.

During the winter vacation period, freshmen Yevhen Novikov, Pavlo Vyhovskyi and Olha Dovhan held a series of career guidance meetings with 10-11th grade students and teachers of general secondary education institutions.

Deputy Director for Educational and Research Activities of the Educational and Research Institute No. 2 Serhii Hirenko and Associate Professor of the Department of Social and Economic Disciplines Viktoria Veliieva told the lyceum students about the university's educational and research institutes, the features of the admission campaign and the priorities for choosing Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.

Employees of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work told higher education students of the Educational and Research Institutes №№1-5 about the world-famous Ukrainian opera singer, soloist of the Paris National Opera, volunteer, participant of the Revolution of Dignity and the fighting in eastern Ukraine Vasyl Slipak.

At the initiative of the Department of Science and Education of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, the regional stage of the XV International Taras Shevchenko Literary and Language Competition for Pupils and Students was held, the purpose of which is to identify creatively gifted youth and develop their potential, foster respect for the language and traditions of their people, and improve the level of language education.

Deputy Director for Educational and Research Activities of the ERI #2 Serhii Hirenko familiarized 11th grade students with the features and specific conditions for admission to Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs in 2025. He showed a presentation about Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs and the Educational and Research Institute No. 2, told about the specialties and educational programs.
