On September 14, 2024, Hennadii Kozhevnikov, a man who devoted many years of his life to the fight against crime, passed away. He worked in various positions in the prosecutor's office, headed Kharkiv Region Prosecutor's Office, and served as the First Deputy Prosecutor of the Southern Transport Prosecutor's Office.

Representatives of the regional branch of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine in Khmelnytskyi region continue to conduct training on first aid for higher education students of the ERI No. 1. At the beginning of the training, the participants gained knowledge of the theoretical block: the principles of first aid in case of bleeding, wounds, injuries, burns, and emergency conditions.

The first meeting of the scientific club of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law “Actual Problems of Theory and History of State and Law” in the academic year was held with the participation of the department's academic staff and higher education students.

Iryna Lutsenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the ERI #1, together with Denys Dibrova, Deputy Head of the SPD #1 of the Police Department #3 of Vinnytsia Police Department, conducted a binary lesson for cadets of one of the study groups in the discipline “Criminology”.

Kateryna Shapoval, a doctoral student of the Department of Organization of Educational and Scientific Training (Doctoral and Postgraduate Studies), took the HELP course on the platform of the European Human Rights Education Program for Lawyers. The course covered a wide range of issues, including the protection of children from sexual exploitation and sexual abuse.

The webinar “Artificial Intelligence and Media Literacy: Tools and Recommendations”, organized by the Academy of Ukrainian Press with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, was successfully held by Antonina Tkach, a student of Sumy branch.

The play “Borsch” by Khmelnytskyi Regional Academic Music and Drama Theater named after M. Starytskyi is based on real events that unfolded in the first months of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Olena Dzhafarova, Head of the Department of Administrative Activity of the ERI No. 3, and Natalia Hridina, Associate Professor of the same department, organized trainings for students of the ERI No. 3 and 4 as part of non-formal education.

Today Doctor of Law, Professor Viacheslav Pavlovych Yemelianov celebrates his 70th birthday. He is one of the brightest representatives of the national science of criminal law. He is the author of hundreds of scientific articles, dozens of monographs, unique textbooks and manuals. Viacheslav Pavlovych has trained a whole galaxy of students and followers.

On the occasion of the Day of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine, sports and patriotic events were held at all locations of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, in which students of the university's Educational and Research Institutes No. 1-4 and Sumy branch took part.
