
Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs is a powerful training center for the National Police of Ukraine. Educational and Research Institute No. 2 is one of the structural divisions of the university and trains specialists for the criminal police units of the National Police of Ukraine in the specialties "Law" (pre-trial investigation) and "Law enforcement activities" (criminal police).

The Educational and Research Institute No. 3 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs trains specialists for the preventive activity units of the National Police of Ukraine in the specialities of Law Enforcement and Psychology.

Educational and Research Institute No. 4 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs trains full-time bachelors in the following specialties: 125 "Cybersecurity and Information Protection", 126 "Information Systems and Technologies" (term of study - 4 years); 262 "Law Enforcement Activities" (term of study - 3 years).

Senior lecturer of the Department of Legal Support of Entrepreneurial Activity and Financial Security of the ERI No. 5 Iryna ANTOL and Associate Professor of the department Artem PODOROZHNII held an online meeting on the topic of the 2025 entry company. They told the high school students about the relevance and prospects of obtaining higher education.

Leading psychologist of the psychological support department of the personnel support department of KhNUIA Tetiana SAZONOVA and professor of the Department of Psychology, Sociology and Pedagogy of the ERI No. 3 Svitlana KHARCHENKO conducted a practical lesson on the topic "Constitutive projective methods" for 3rd year cadets studying in the educational and professional program 053 "Psychology".

On February 18, 2025, the second semester of training begins within the framework of the Jean Monnet Module “Digital Transformation of Rights: EU Experience”, which is implemented by the Department of Civil, Labor and Economic Law of the Educational and Research Institute No. 1 of KhNUIA.

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs held a certification of students of the second (master's) level of higher education in the specialty 081 "Law" (police). The certification was organized in the form of a comprehensive exam in the disciplines "Criminal Justice: Legal Doctrines and Principles of Lawmaking" and "Public Law: Practice of Interpretation and Application."

Olexandr KHAN, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Organization of Pre-Trial Investigation of the ERI No. 1, provided high school students of Ternopil region with comprehensive information on the conditions for entering the university, specialties in which specialists for the National Police are trained. He spoke about the work of preparatory courses, and living conditions in dormitories.

Professor of the Department of Criminology and Forensic Expertise of the ERI No. 1, Doctor of Law, Professor Oleksandr YUKHNO conducted a verification of the internship and preparation of a mock criminal case in one of the departments of the Main Police Department in Kharkiv region of cadets Kirill TYSCHENKO and Danylo SHYSHKA.

Educational and Research Institute No. 5 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs trains students under the contract form of study for the degrees of higher education "bachelor" and "master". The institute trains specialists in the following specialties: "Law", "Law enforcement activities", "Psychology", "Cybersecurity and information protection", "Information systems and technologies", "Finance, banking, insurance and stock market", "Accounting and taxation".
