Employees of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work, curators of Educational and Research Institutes No. 1-5 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs held information and educational hours for higher education applicants. They recalled the historical stages of the formation of Ukrainian statehood, the importance of the Fundamental Law as a guarantor of the rights and freedoms of citizens.

Associate Professor of the Department of Sociology and Psychology of the ERI No. 5 Kateryna MANNAPOVA completed training for psychologists working with victims of captivity and torture. The training, initiated by Libereco, the NGO "Somatic Experiencing Ukraine" and the NGO Resource Center "Lisova Polyana", took place in Odesa.

Following the results of the 2024-2025 academic year, on behalf of the Director of the Institute, Oksana BRUSAKOVA, Deputy Director Ella TVERDOKHLIB announced awards to the best students who demonstrated a high level of academic preparation, were actively engaged in scientific research work, etc.

Professor of the Department of Sociology and Psychology of the ERI No. 5 Iryna NECHITAILO, who is a member of the Ukrainian Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (UAKPT; European Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies EABCT), joined the work of the XI Annual Conference on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Professor of the Department of Sociology and Psychology of the ERI No. 5 Iryna NECHITAILO and Associate Professor of the same department Iryna ZHDANOVA underwent basic training in providing psychosocial support to children and caregivers within the framework of the project "Caring for the Mental Health of Children in the Deoccupied Territories of Ukraine."

Associate Professor of the Department of Sociology and Psychology of the ERI No. 5 Olena MOKHORIEVA held an event for practical psychologists of penal institutions and pre-trial detention centers of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine on the topic "Envy in the Context of Criminal Behavior of an Individual."

A 3rd year student of the ERI No. 5, Maria VARICHUK, took 3rd place in the International Student Research Paper Competition, which was held at Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi Kremenchuk National University under the patronage of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO and with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Professor of the Department of Law Enforcement Olena SYNIAVSKA and Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law Yulia ZAHUMENNA joined the work of the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference "Public Service: Vectors of Reform in Conditions of Martial Law", which was held at Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.

4th-year students of the ERI No. 5 completed an important stage of their studies - they passed the comprehensive qualifying exam for the first (bachelor's) level of higher education in the specialty 072 "Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Market". The exam was the result of four years of intensive study and a test of acquired knowledge and professional competencies.

Curators of educational work of the Department of social and humanitarian work held a series of informational and educational conversations for students of Educational and Research Institutes No. 1-5 on the general topic "Ethics. Law. Information security".
