Svitlana Lozova, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure, Criminalistics and Forensics of the ERI №5, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor, completed the course “Critical Thinking for Educators” on the Prometheus online educational course platform.

During the open criminal proceedings, second-year students of the ERI №5, who are studying in the specialty “Law”, observed the procedure for consideration of the case and the peculiarities of procedural actions, the exercise of rights and obligations by participants in the criminal process, in particular the victim and the accused, the lawyer, the prosecutor, etc.

The second-year students of the ERI №5 together with the institute's specialist Olena Adamchuk donated blood and its components for the wounded military and civilians affected by the Russian aggression. We support the donor movement, which is an important cause for every citizen of Ukraine.

On the day of the beginning of the new academic year, the Director of the Educational and Research Institute №5, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor Oksana Brusakova and Doctor of History, Professor, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine Volodymyr Hrechenko handed over to the general library of the university the books they co-authored.

Lecturers of the Department of Sociology and Psychology - Professor Iryna Nechitailo, Associate Professor Iryna Zhdanova, and Lecturer Yulia Sarbiei - completed advanced training in Clinical Psychology as part of a program for psychologists, clinical psychologists, military psychologists, and medical professionals.

Researchers of the Educational and Research Institute No. 5 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs presented the "Handbook for Servicemen", which aims to provide primary informational assistance on legal issues that are most relevant under the legal regime of martial law.

Iryna Zhdanova, Associate Professor of the Department of Sociology and Psychology, took the course "Introduction to Early Intervention", which is devoted to the theoretical foundations and practical aspects of early intervention - modern family-centered assistance to families with young children with developmental disorders and the risk of such disorders.

On the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine, the Student Council of the Educational and Research Institute No. 5 held a national patriotic event. Oksana Brusakova, Director of the Institute, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech and emphasized that this is a holiday for each of us, a holiday of our freedom, dignity and unity.

On August 23, every year since 2004, Ukraine has honored one of its three key state symbols, the blue and yellow flag. It is also a national symbol. A symbol of our Ukrainian identity. A symbol of the struggle for freedom. The blue and yellow combination was established as the Ukrainian national colors during the European "Spring of Nations" in the 19th century.
