Conducting scientific research is one of the priority areas of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. In times of war, the university's research activities are aimed at studying issues related to countering armed aggression, cyberattacks, etc.

Before the examination session, the management of the ERI No. 1 held an information and awareness-raising conversation with the graduate students on the prevention and combating of corruption in higher education institutions. Students were recommended to take an online course on how to report corruption and become whistleblowers.

In all the cities where Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs is located, students take part in the information campaign on child road safety in winter, which is conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs together with UNICEF and the National Police on the initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska.

On the initiative of the Department of Humanities and Ukrainian Studies of KhNUIA, an awarding ceremony was held for students and cadets who became winners of competitions. The awards were presented by: Deputy Director of the ERI No. 5 Myroslava Ivasyk, Head of the Department of Humanities and Ukrainian Studies Volodymyr Hrechenko, Associate Professor Nataliia Kobylko and Senior Lecturer Nataliia Yelnikova.

Oksana Bortnik, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil, Labor and Economic Law of the ERI No. 1, participated in the 13th Judicial Forum, organized by the Association of Lawyers of Ukraine. The forum was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the Supreme Court and other levels of the judicial system, people's deputies, prosecutors, etc.

The head of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Organization of Pre-Trial Investigation of ERI No. 1, Tetiana Fomina, became one of 30 participants in the three-day training "Procedural Interview for Vulnerable Categories of Persons", organized by the Norwegian Center for Human Rights in cooperation with the NGO JustGroup.

KhNUIA representatives - students of the ERI No. 1, 4 and 5, head of the Department of Special Physical Training Dmytro Konstantynov and the coach of the national track and field team, master's student Volodymyr Manukian - became participants in the race, which is a solidarity manifestation of care for people who have experienced and are still experiencing traumatic experiences.

Iryna Lutsenko, associate professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the ERI No. 1, spoke online with high school students and deputy director for academic work Hanna Shcherban of Mykola Marfiievych Support Lyceum of Vyzhnytsia City Council of Vyzhnytsia District of Chernivtsi Region.

A first-year cadet of the Educational and Research Institute No. 1 of KhNUIA, Violeta Klevan, during her summer vacation, together with representatives of the Department of the Main Inspectorate and Human Rights of the Main Police Department in Luhansk region, joined the charity event "Mykolaichyky for the Armed Forces of Ukraine".

Associate Professor of the Department of Civil, Labor and Economic Law of the ERI No. 1 Uliana Oliinyk introduced 11th grade students of Khmelnytskyi Lyceum of Khmelnytskyi Regional Council to the features of the admission campaign and the rules for admission to KhNUIA in 2025, educational and scientific institutes and specialties in which specialists are trained.
