On March 9, our country celebrates the 209th anniversary of the birth of Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko. On the occasion of a significant date for the country, the staff and cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs laid flowers at the monument of Great Kobzar, a fighter for the freedom of Ukraine T.H. Shevchenko.

At Sumy branch of KhNUIA, associate professor of the Department of Socio-Economic Disciplines Svitlana Petrovska and associate professor of the Department of Legal Disciplines Nataliia Duravkina held a binary class within the framework of studying the disciplines "Labor Law" and "Fundamentals of Labor Protection" on the topic "Protection of women's labor rights in Ukraine". Students of the 3rd-4th year of the "Law" specialty and the 3rd year of the "Law enforcement" specialty took part in the event.

For the birthday of Great Kobzar and the 185th anniversary of the writing of the poem "Taras’s Night", which inspires us, Ukrainians, to heroic deeds in the name of our native land, the scientific library prepared a book trailer, the purpose of which is to draw the reader's attention to this glorious work.

The regular meeting of the scientific group "VERITAS" of the Department of Humanitarian Disciplines of Sumy branch of KhNUIA was dedicated to the study of aspects of gender equality in the profession of lawyer and police officer, as one of the important problems of today.

Representatives of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, a lecturer of the Department of Constitutional and International Law Vadym Maltsev and assistant professor of the Department of Social and Economic Disciplines Oksana Melnychuk, held a career orientation meeting with 11th-grade students of Lyceum No. 6 of Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council of Khmelnytskyi Region.

Today is the day of memory of a person known and loved by the world. Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko is a symbol of Ukrainians, a prophet and a genius, and at the same time a man among men. For true patriots, he is beyond time and space. At all times, the Great Kobzar was, is and will be a spiritual signpost of our nation.

Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, police general of the third rank Valerii Sokurenko took part in the "Live" program on Khmelnytskyi TV channel TV 7+. Among the issues that were discussed during the broadcast - the opening of the Podilsk branch of the university, etc.

The professor of the Department of Theory and History of the State and Law of the Faculty No. 1 was awarded a letter of thanks from the Director of the Youth Programs of the International Association of UN Peacekeepers (AISP-SPIA), the Coordinator of the International Programs "School of Peace" and "Young Peacemaker" Serhii Samoilov and the Chairman of the Board of the NGO "Unification of UN peacekeepers, participants of international operations and disabled people of war" by Oleksandr Doroshenko.

The participants of ELSASumy, which was created and operates on the basis of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, initiated an online meeting with the national board of ELSAUkraine. The purpose of the meeting was to justify the joint activity strategy, to coordinate the action plan of Sumy branch with the activities of other active branches of the European Association of Law Students in Ukraine.

The scientific library of the university conducts a cycle of classes with cadets and first-year students of all faculties on mastering the skills of working with electronic educational resources, services and databases of the scientific library and the university.
