Higher education students and students of the Institute of Postgraduate Education, employees, cadets, students, master's students at all locations of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs (Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Kamianets-Podilskyi, Sumy, Kremenchuk) joined the national minute of silence and the All-Ukrainian action "Lets Light a Candle" in memory of the victims of the Holodomor and in connection with the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 - genocide of the Ukrainian people.

A video lecture for higher education students of the Faculties No. 1, No. 4, and No. 6 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, organized by the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work, was held by Andrii Khoptiar, a researcher at Kamianets-Podilskyi State Historical Museum-Reserve, Candidate of Historical Sciences.

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs held a hand-to-hand fighting championship on the occasion of the University's foundation day, which was attended by cadets of the faculties №№ 1-4. During the opening ceremony, the participants performed the National Anthem of Ukraine and observed a minute of silence in memory of the soldiers who died defending Ukraine, civilians and victims of the Holodomor.

Every year, on the fourth Saturday of November, Ukraine commemorates the millions of victims of the Holodomor. In the twentieth century, Ukrainians experienced them three times. The Holodomor of 1932-1933 was the largest in terms of the number of human victims.

In order to commemorate the victims of the Holodomor and the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 - the genocide of the Ukrainian people, cadets of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in a requiem rally and put flowers at the memorial sign of the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933.
