The curator, Professor of the Department of Civil, Labour and Commercial Law, Doctor of Law, Professor Sviatoslav Slipchenko held an educational hour with the cadets of the ERI №1 on the role of science in training for the National Police.

The 2nd and 3rd year cadets of the ERI No. 3 in a playful way acquainted children with the Traffic Rules for pedestrians, safety measures when crossing the roadway, and rules of behaviour on the street without adults. They paid special attention to safety measures in case of detection of explosive objects.

The topic ‘The Role of the National Police in Ensuring Constitutional Rights and Freedoms of Ukrainian Citizens’ was discussed with the cadets of the ERI No. 1 by Vitalii Kavkalo, Head of the Human Rights Sector of Kamianets-Podilskyi District Department of the National Police in Khmelnytskyi Region, and Oleksandr Radchenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Constitutional and International Law and Human Rights of KhNUIA.

Mariana Sidletska, Deputy Head of the course of the ERI No. 4, and Vladyslav Kochyn, 2nd year cadet of the ERI No. 4, introduced the high school students to the peculiarities of the 2025 admission campaign, the conditions for admission to Kharkiv Police University, and told them about the educational and research institutes and specialities.

Curator, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Organisation of Pre-trial Investigation Alina Piddubna held a meeting and conversation with the cadets of the ERI №1 on the topic ‘Observance of discipline and legality among the personnel. Transport discipline’. She focused the cadets' attention on the need for a responsible attitude to their duties.

Nadiia Demydenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Humanities of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, made a presentation ‘Combining Vocational Education and Moral and Religious Education: From the Experience of the School in the Village of Mytchenky, Konotop County, in the First Half of the Nineteenth Century’.

Oksana Maliutina, Head of the Preparatory Department of the ERI No. 5, and Oleksandr Mishchenko, a leading specialist, discussed the prospects for further cooperation with Olha Demenko, Director of the Department of Education, and Volodymyr Lipeiko, Deputy Head of the Education Department of the Administration of Kyivskyi District of Kharkiv.

Anna Kovalenko, a 4th year student of the ERI No. 5, who is studying Law, held a series of lectures and discussions with 1-2 year students of the ERI No. 5, students of general secondary education institutions, employees of various institutions on their behaviour in case of detection of explosive objects, including bombs, mines, tripwires, etc.

Members of the student self-government of Sumy branch of KhNUIA Valeriia Kochura, Alina Berko, Kateryna Krasii, Veronika Myhal, Yelyzaveta Kurylo, Hlib Kurdes together with the leading specialist of the group of educational and social and humanitarian work Anna Mititiel presented an informative quiz about the rights of the child at the Centre of Culture and Leisure of Sumy City Council.

Nataliia Kobylko, Associate Professor of the Department of Humanities and Ukrainian Studies, Candidate of Philological Sciences, took part in the advanced training programme ‘Modern Ukrainian Language in Domestic and Professional Communication’.
