
Today, April 26, marks 39 years since the terrible accident at Unit 4 of Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant. It touched almost every Ukrainian family and shook the entire world.

On the 39th anniversary of the accident at Chornobyl nuclear power plant, cadets, students and employees of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs at all locations of the higher education institution honored the memory of the victims of the largest nuclear disaster, which took the lives of thousands of people and caused irreparable damage to the environment.

On this topic, KhNUIA library has prepared a virtual biographical sketch for the 135th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Ukrainian poet, translator, literary critic, and representative of the neoclassicists Mykola Zerov (April 26, 1890 - November 3, 1937).

The Department of Law Enforcement of the ERI No. 5 held another meeting of the scientific circle dedicated to the current topic - the functioning of united territorial communities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The event was timed to coincide with the International Day of Remembrance for Chornobyl Disaster.

Chornobyl tragedy is the largest environmental disaster of our time, which occurred on April 26, 1986, when the reactor of the 4th power unit of Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant exploded. There was an eruption equal to the power of 300 nuclear bombs dropped on the Japanese city of Hiroshima in August 1945.

An instructional session on the topic "Information security as an element of countering sabotage" for university cadets was held by Yevheniia YEVSTRATENKO, a senior inspector for special assignments of the Public Relations Department of the patrol police department in Vinnytsia region of the Patrol Police Department.

Lecturer of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the ERI No. 1 Olena HORASH gave a lecture to the cadets on the topic "Chornobyl has no past tense." She familiarized them with the chronology of events that led to one of the largest man-made disasters in the history of mankind - the accident at Chornobyl nuclear power plant.

The FST "Dynamo" Championship of Ukraine in kettlebell sports was held in the city of Lviv, which was held on April 23-25 of this year. The competitions were attended by national teams of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system and national teams of territorial organizations of the FST "Dynamo".

A Cooperation Agreement has been signed between Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs and the Humanitarian Demining Training Center LLC. Its purpose is to create conditions for effective interaction and exchange of information, strengthen ties in the field of educational and educational-methodical activities to improve the quality of specialist training.

For cadets of the ERI No. 3, a lesson on the topic "Measures to ensure the conduct of proceedings in cases of administrative offenses" was conducted by Yulia BUHAIKO, Associate Professor of the Department of Administrative Activities of the ERI No. 3, and Svitlana MENCHUK, senior inspector of juvenile prevention of the community interaction sector of Vinnytsia Police Department No. 1 of Vinnytsia DPD of the Main Police Department in Vinnytsia region.
