On the Day of the Chornobyl Tragedy and the International Remembrance Day for the Victims of Radiation Accidents and Catastrophes, Ruslan Yakovliev, Director of Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, along with representatives of state and local authorities, honoured the memory of liquidators who saved humanity from the consequences of the greatest man-made disaster of the 20th century by sacrificing their lives and health.

They put flowers to the memorial to the Victims of Chornobyl and honoured those who gave their lives for a peaceful future with a moment of silence. Military salute and symbolic Chornobyl Bells were performed in their honour, and then the remembrance wreath was taken into the Dnipro.
