Olena Shkurat, a lecturer of the Department of Humanities of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, together with Maryna Levsha, Chief Accountant of PLC “UTA Service”, conducted a binary lesson on “Financial Security and Fraud. Financial pyramids" for applicants for the higher education of the first (bachelor's) level.

The topic of financial security is very important because there are often situations when a person's financial well-being may be disrupted due to the fraudulent actions of others. Everyone is personally responsible for their financial protection, from fairly simple transactions such as withdrawing cash at ATMs or paying for services online to more complex and risky transactions, such as investing in capital markets.

During the lesson, students had the opportunity to learn about fraudulent schemes of identity theft and the most common types of fraud, including those that occur online, as well as learn how to avoid such problems.
