As part of the regional sports project "Unbreakable of Vinnytsia Regions", the 2026 sitting volleyball competition season has started. War veterans, representatives of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in the matches. 

The participants were divided into three teams, which played a series of friendly matches. The matches became not only a platform for improving sporting skills, but also a space for exchanging experiences, mutual support and strengthening team spirit. Sitting volleyball is steadily gaining popularity among veterans and is actively developing in region.

War veteran Yevhen Savchenko, Specialist of the of the Department of National-Patriotic Education and Department of Social and Humanitarian Work of KhNUIA, shared his impressions of the event: "Such events are of particular importance for veterans. Sitting volleyball is not only physical activity, but also psychological support and a sense of team unity. Such meetings motivate and give confidence in one's own abilities."

His colleague, war veteran Oleksandr Hovorukha, Assistant to the Rector for Work with Veterans, emphasised: ‘These matches give you the opportunity to feel part of a team, test your abilities and experience positive emotions. It is nice to see that sitting volleyball is becoming increasingly popular and attracting more and more participants.’

The competition took place in a friendly atmosphere, once again confirming the important role of adaptive sports in the rehabilitation, social integration and support of war veterans.https://univd.edu.ua/uk/news/26379
