The scientific and pedagogical staff, Head of the Department Olena Stativka, Associate Professors of the same Department Oleh Honcharuk and Valentyna Kochyna, Senior Lecturers Valentyna Pochuieva, Larysa Sazanova and Artem Bilousov of the Department of Language Training took part in the International Online Webinar "Using Generative AI to develop writing skills for secondary learners", which was conducted by speakers from Cambridge University Press and Assessment.

Practical examples from Cambridge University textbooks were used to examine how best to integrate AI into writing instruction and how to teach essay writing with artificial intelligence. The lecturers of the department noted not only a number of advantages of using AI, such as speed and efficiency, logical structure, obtaining large amounts of information, and language correction, but also significant disadvantages, including inaccuracy of information, problems with academic integrity, lack of emotion, and a decline in writing and critical thinking skills, which are extremely necessary in creative work. https://univd.edu.ua/uk/news/26302
