Olena DZHAFAROVA, Head of the Department of Administrative Activities of the ERI No.3, and Dmytro LESHCHENKO, Adjunct of the Department of Postgraduate (Adjunct) and Doctoral Studies, presented a joint report «The Dopamine System and Age-Related Factors in the Development of Addictions in Contemporary Society» at the 3rd International Congress on Judicial Sciences, which was held at Turkish National Police Academy (Gölbaşı, Ankara).

Scientists analyzed the role of the dopaminergic system as a key biological mechanism of addiction formation, outlined its influence on motivational processes, the reward system, behavioral reactions and emotional regulation. The abstracts of the report also highlighted the relationship between biological and socio-behavioral mechanisms, identified the main reasons for the development of addictive forms of behavior and emphasized the importance of educational measures aimed at forming healthy behavior patterns and understanding neurobiological processes. https://univd.edu.ua/uk/news/26088
