A four-day train-the-trainer course on the use of Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) and criminal investigations has begun at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs in Kamianets-Podilskyi. The participants of the event were representatives of the academic staff and students of the Educational and Research Institutes No. 1 and No. 4. The training course is conducted within the framework of the international technical assistance project “Operational Support to Providing Strategic Advice on Civilian Security Sector Reform in Ukraine”
The training course was preceded by a working meeting of EUAM experts with representatives of the university – Mykola MARCHUK, Director of the Educational and Research Institute No. 4, Tetiana MATIUSHKOVA, Head of the International Cooperation Department, and Oleksii SALMANOV, Deputy Director of the Institute for Educational and Research Activities of the ERI No. 1.
On behalf of EUAM, the meeting was attended by Senior OSINT Advisors Juan Carlos Arias LOPEZ and Theo MANDOCCHI, as well as Criminal Investigation Adviser Vasyl BODNARIUK. They noted that this is the second training for university representatives - the first one took place in February 2025 in Vinnytsia. Juan Carlos Arias LOPEZ said that this course is the final one in the OSINT training cycle in 2025 and expressed the hope that the participants will disseminate the knowledge gained among colleagues. Theo MANDOCCHI, in turn, emphasized that he is pleased to cooperate with KhNUIA, because representatives of the university always demonstrate high activity and professionalism.
