A meeting with representatives of the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM) on the reform of the civil security sector of Ukraine was held at the university. The delegation included expert José QUINTELA CARDOSO, trainer Ana Isabel CARNEIRO GONCALVES, and education and training expert Vasyl KORNIIENKO.
The event was held within the framework of the program “Operational Support to Providing Strategic Advice for the Reform of the Civilian Security Sector in Ukraine (2024-2027)”.
The university was represented by First Vice-Rector Viktor VASYLENKO and Head of the International Cooperation Department Tetiana MATIUSHKOVA. Welcoming the delegation, Viktor VASYLENKO emphasized the importance of partnership with European institutions to improve the professional level of police officers, especially in the field of psychological training and response to crisis situations.
During the visit, the foreign delegation also attended lectures, got acquainted with the educational process and the material and technical base of the university. The guests highly appreciated the level of training of the cadets and the modern approach to training.
EUAM expert José QUINTELA CARDOSO shared Portugal’s experience in the field of police training and noted the importance of further cooperation with the KhNUVS. Ana Isabel CARNEIRO GONCALVES thanked for the warm welcome and constructive exchange of experience.
Tetiana MATIUSHKOVA emphasized that the university is actively developing international partnerships, combining its own experience with the best European practices.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation in the field of education and science in order to exchange knowledge and improve the quality of training of specialists in the civil security sector. https://univd.edu.ua/uk/news/25182
