Associate Professor of the Department of Tactical and Special Training of the ERI No. 2 Tykhin SHEVCHENKO held a series of lectures for applicants for the second (master's) level of higher education at the University of Turība in Riga.
The classes were devoted to issues of ensuring the stability of protected objects using modern technological means. The audience included not only students, but also representatives of the public and private security sectors, heads of security services of enterprises, institutions and organizations, as well as university lecturers.
During the lectures, the issues of critical infrastructure protection were discussed, taking into account the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, countering enemy UAVs, preventing unauthorized entry into protected areas. The topic also included the functioning of control systems, alerts, mechanisms for forecasting and neutralizing potential threats. Particular attention was paid to personal security, increasing the resilience of facilities, and means of individual and collective protection.
At the end of the visit, Tykhin SHEVCHENKO met with the Dean of the Faculty of Law Ivo Krievs and the Head of the Security Department Kārlis Apalups. They discussed the prospects for further cooperation, in particular, the participation of representatives of both institutions in international educational and scientific projects. https://univd.edu.ua/uk/news/25140
