May, 14 in Ukraine is marked as a memorable date. It is the 150th anniversary of the birth of Vasyl Stefanyk, a writer and a political figure.

On the occasion of this date, in order to honor the work of the famous Ukrainian writer and with the aim of national-patriotic education, At the Turn of the Century Educational event was held for first and second-year students and cadets of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs by Hanna Mititiel, a leading specialist of the personnel department.

During the event, the applicants for higher education had the opportunity to get acquainted with Vasyl Stefanyk’s life and creative heritage on the information stands "People and Years", "Pages of History" and "Serve the Law".
