Maryna Vasylenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Law Disciplines, Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, participated in the training seminar "Euro-oriented approach in teaching special law disciplines in the adoption of new standards of higher legal education", which took place within the Jean Monnet module "European standards for the protection of the rights of financial services consumers".

Given the active development of the financial services market in Ukraine, the emergence of new types and taking into account the rule of law and European values, training highly qualified specialists in the field of legal protection of financial services consumers is an urgent need today.

The main objectives of the project: training of highly qualified EU-oriented specialists who will be able to effectively organize legal support for the protection of consumers of financial services in accordance with national legislation and taking into account EU standards in this area; disseminating information on European standards for the protection of the rights of consumers of financial services through cooperation with regional media, stimulating the interest of the general public in the reforms taking place in the country's financial sector, and facilitating their understanding; providing students, alumni, civil society organizations and the general public with knowledge of European Union legislation on the legal regulation of the protection of consumers of financial services and encouraging them to apply their knowledge to national practice; promoting innovation in teaching and research, including the development of open online courses and the use of blended learning tools.
