Maryna Vasylenko, an Associate Professor of Law Disciplines Department, Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, took part in the presentation of the educational project "Implementation of European Union Values in Ukraine", co-financed by the EU Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual and Culture under the Jean + Monet Module of Erasmus+ program. 

The mission of the project is to research EU law, disseminate information, public dialogue and discussion that will promote the perception of EU values among law students, legal practitioners and the general public and their implementation in law enforcement.

As a result of the project the implementation the following goals are expected to be achieved:

  • promoting the introduction of the best practices in teaching and research in the field of EU law in general and EU values and their legal protection in particular;
  • improving the quality of training of professional lawyers with an emphasis on the importance of respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights;
  • providing students, alumni, civil society organizations and the general public with knowledge of EU law, promoting their understanding and perception of EU values;
  • promoting innovation in teaching and research, including the development of open online courses on EU values that are accessible to all.
