Zarichnyi District Court of Sumy Region has founded a series of online meetings with students of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. The binary lesson on the subject “Criminal Procedure” was held. 3-4 years students took part in the webinar. Nataliia Horobets, Professor of the Department of Legal Disciplines, was co-organizer of the binary lesson.

Mykola Shershak, Judge of Zarichnyi District Court of Sumy Region, told students about the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations, which is an electronic database, to which collection, keeping, protection, accounting, searching, a generalization of data on criminal offenses and run of the pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings were carried out. He also told about pre-trial investigation of crimes, namely, how investigative actions are carried out, interrogation, the basis for the execution of an examination, etc. Students were familiarized with the order of suspicion delivery and the peculiarities of the suspicion notification to a certain category of persons – people's deputies, the Prosecutor General, judges, etc. The judge focused on the issues of precautionary measures, as measures to ensure criminal proceedings, based on the temporary restriction of human rights, aimed to stop and prevent new criminal offenses, ensuring the performance of obligations imposed on the person and his or her proper behavior. He informed students about the election procedure and work of the investigating judge.

Students asked many questions and received comprehensive answers.
