Gentlemen of the police! Today, on the Day of the Defender of Ukraine, I have a personal order from the Supreme Commander-in-Chief - President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi - to congratulate you on a great event - taking the Oath of Allegiance to the Ukrainian people by first year cadets.

Dear cadets, the solemn words of the Oath require you to strictly abide by the Constitution and current legislation, protect the rights and freedoms of citizens, fight crime, ensure public safety and order in our country, and most importantly - to be always loyal to the people of Ukraine. We have started very important changes in the state and you must make every effort to build a developed, secure and prosperous country together.

I have been to your university many times, I see progress, I see the positive changes that are taking place in the establishment. I am grateful to you, employees and cadets, for participating in the protection of public order in the Kharkiv police garrison, for great social work, active citizenship, conscience and diligence, for the fact that, performing any task entrusted to you, you strictly adhere to discipline, and ethics of a police officer, for not being indifferent to citizens, for the fact that you love our Kharkiv, our Slobozhanshchyna, our Ukraine!

Dear cadets! Years of hard work in classrooms, libraries, computer classrooms, internships in the National Police will soon pass. You will master the knowledge and skills, acquire all the personal qualities that are needed for policemen.

You have time to properly prepare for this, so as not to lose the achievements of your predecessors, but on the contrary - to multiply them. Treat your destiny responsibly and, by and large, the destiny of the state, take all the wealth of knowledge.

The Head of the Kharkiv Regional

State Administration
