A meeting of the Scientific Circle was held at the Department of Ukrainian Studies of the Faculty № 2 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. Olena Overchuk, an Associate Professor of the Department and the Head of the Scientific Circle, addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of the scientific component in the educational process, outlined the main directions of the group's work and expressed hope for fruitful cooperation.

The Head of the Department, Professor, Doctor of Philology Ihor Chornyi, in his introductory speech, noted that the Scientific Circle is one of the important forms of quality training and development of highly qualified specialists. He stressed that the Scientific Circle of the Department of Ukrainian Studies is an academic center of humanitarian education and national education, whose activities are aimed at forming a worldview and value orientation, inheriting the experience and heritage of Ukrainian and world culture.

At the end of the meeting, the cadets were acquainted with the work plan of the group for the first semester of 2020-2021 academic year and the requirements for writing theses and scientific articles. During the discussion of the forthcoming meetings of the Circle, the topics "History of the formation and development of Ukrainian literature" and "The image of law enforcement in world culture" aroused special interest among its members.
