Vasyl Nazarenko, Head of the Activity Support Department of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs and Police Captain Roman Kotsar held the fire safety training and the workshop on actions in case of fire, for cadets to raise their awareness of fire prevention. The cadets were acquainted with the regularities of fire occurrence and spread, the main ways to put out the fire, the responsibilities and actions in case of fire, types of fire extinguishers and features of their operation. Particular attention was paid to the issue of correct and quick evacuation procedure.

Connection to the fire hydrant, unwinding of fire hoses, use of fire extinguisher during firefighting (imitation) and evacuation of cadets from the buildings using fire alarms were practiced during the event.
