The risk of drug abuse by adolescence always exists. And this fact is extremely confusing both for parents, teachers and law enforcement officials. The aim of the pilot project, which started at the end of September, is to protect the youth from bad habits and inform them about the harmful effects of dangerous substances usage. The authors and initiators of its conduction were members of the scientific group of the Department of Criminology, Forensic Medicine and Pre-Medical Training of the Faculty № 1 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. They conducted informational and preventive training for senior pupils of Kharkiv Lyceum № 149 together with school police officers of Shevchenkivskyi district of the Patrol Police Department in Kharkiv Region. During the training, teachers, cadets of the university and school police officers told schoolchildren about the dangers of drug consumption, the rules of treatment of drug addicts and persons who offer and distribute drugs, and the procedure for contacting the police with a report of an offense.

Easy and accessible form of training, visual materials and informativeness aroused the interest of schoolchildren, who asked many questions and received comprehensive answers from specialists. Such trainings will be held in other schools of Kharkiv and the region. A healthy nation is a key to a successful future for our state.
