Olena Ustymenko, Head of International Cooperation Department, together with Tetyana Sokolan, Coordinator of the Council of Europe Project “Observance of Human Rights in the Criminal Justice System of Ukraine” conducted binary classes on the subject "International Protection of Human Rights" for cadets № 2 study groups 201 and 202 on the topic "International protection of human rights during armed conflicts".
During the classes, the speaker spoke about the formation and development of international humanitarian law, its concepts and features, as well as the concepts and types of armed conflicts.
Tetiana Sokolan paid special attention to the participants of the armed conflicts, outlined their main features. In addition, the cadets discussed in more detail the international legal status of prisoners of war, wounded, sick and more.
Applicants for higher education asked questions and actively participated in the discussions.
