The Psychology Department of the Institute of Pedagogy and the Office for Development and Cooperation of Pomeranian University in Słupsk would like to invite you to a lecture delivered by prof. Richard Young of the University of British Columbia titled “Understanding and Facilitating Life Meaning”. The Lecture which will be held on 11 June 2021 at 6:00 p.m.

This is another event in a series of lectures delivered by foreign experts, carried out under  the “A+ Lecture” program, which is one of the tasks of the “Active University” project.

 Human activity is a complex phenomenon. How effectively we are able to set our goals depends not only on the fact what the goals are at a particular moment, but also on how they combine with other goals, creating mid-term and long-term projects of life. 

Prof. Richard Young graduated from McGill University and is currently a scholar at the University of British Columbia. He is a member of Canadian Psychological Association and American Psychological Association. Prof. Richard Young is an author of over 80 scientific articles and books. Among many of his research interests, psychological counseling and career development stand out. Along with Ladislav Valach, he is the co-author of Contextual Action Theory in counseling and career.
