Oleksii Serdiuk, deputy head of the Research Laboratory for the Problems on Combating Crime of Kharkiv National University of Internal Afairs, lieutenant colonel of police took part as an expert in the Open Space Workshop “Two years of police reform: successes and failures in Kharkiv Region”. It was conducted within the framework of the project “Regional Voices - Creating Bridges for Democracy”, implemented within the partnership with the Institute of International Cooperation of the German Association of National Universities (DVV), the DVV International Representation in Ukraine with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany. The event took place in the social activity hub “Studio 42”.

Open Space technology allowed a wide range of participants, including public activists, journalists, police officers and scholars, to express their views on the problems of police activities, to analyze the successes and failures of the reform in Kharkiv Region and to offer the ways to solve them.
